Sesame Tofu Stir-Fry
Crispy pan-fried tofu cubes and colorful vegetables are tossed in a glossy sesame-soy sauce for a fast, satisfying vegetarian stir-fry. It comes together in one wok and pairs perfectly with steamed rice for a complete meal in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients
- 14 oz extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
- 1 broccoli head, cut into florets
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 carrot, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Toss pressed tofu cubes in cornstarch until lightly coated.
- Heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Fry tofu on all sides, 6-8 minutes total, until golden and crisp. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to the pan and stir-fry broccoli, bell pepper, and carrot for 4-5 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Add garlic and ginger, stirring 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, and water, then pour into the pan.
- Return the tofu to the pan and toss everything together until coated and heated through, about 1-2 minutes.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving over rice.
