Honey Garlic Salmon

Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- to taste Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 green onions, sliced, for garnish
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Pat salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon skin-side up first, 3-4 minutes per side, until golden and just cooked through. Transfer to a plate.
- Reduce heat to medium and add garlic to the skillet, cooking 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Whisk in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Simmer 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in butter until the sauce turns glossy.
- Return salmon to the skillet, spooning sauce over each fillet to coat and warm through, about 1 minute.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, then serve immediately with extra sauce spooned on top.
