Homemade Chicken Nuggets

Crispy, golden, and made from real chicken breast, these homemade nuggets taste even better than the drive-thru version kids beg for. A seasoned panko crust bakes up perfectly crunchy while the inside stays juicy and tender.

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Set up a breading station: one bowl with flour, salt, and pepper; one bowl with eggs whisked with water; and one bowl with panko mixed with garlic powder and paprika.
  3. Dredge each chicken cube in the flour, dip in the egg wash, then press firmly into the seasoned panko to coat all sides.
  4. Arrange the breaded nuggets in a single layer on the baking sheet, leaving space between pieces, and drizzle lightly with olive oil.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Let cool for 2 minutes before serving with favorite dipping sauces.
