Honey Glazed Ham
A spiral-cut bone-in ham brushed with a sticky, caramelized honey-brown sugar glaze is a classic Easter and Christmas centerpiece. Slow warming in the oven keeps the meat juicy while the glaze forms a glossy, sweet-savory crust.

Ingredients
- 8-9 lb bone-in spiral-cut ham, fully cooked
- 3/4 cup honey
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice or apple juice
- to taste Whole cloves, for studding (optional)
Instructions
- Remove the ham from the fridge 30-45 minutes before cooking to take the chill off. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Place the ham cut-side down in a roasting pan. If desired, score the surface in a diamond pattern and stud with whole cloves.
- Cover tightly with foil and bake for 1 hour, about 12-15 minutes per pound, until warmed through to 120°F (49°C) internally.
- Meanwhile, combine honey, brown sugar, butter, Dijon mustard, vinegar, cloves, cinnamon, and pineapple juice in a saucepan. Simmer over medium heat for 8-10 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Remove foil from the ham and brush generously with the glaze. Increase oven temperature to 425°F (220°C).
- Return the ham to the oven, uncovered, basting with more glaze every 10 minutes, for 20-30 minutes total, until deeply caramelized and the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
- Let the ham rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing along the spiral cuts. Serve with any remaining glaze on the side.
