A bold, sweet iced coffee inspired by Vietnamese cà phê sữa đá, made by brewing strong dark-roast coffee and stirring it with sweetened condensed milk before pouring over ice. Rich, intensely coffee-forward, and lusciously sweet.

Ingredients
- 2-3 tablespoons coarsely ground dark roast coffee (or Vietnamese-style coffee if available)
- 3/4 cup hot water (just off boiling)
- 2-3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk, to taste
- to taste Ice cubes
Instructions
- If using a Vietnamese phin filter, add the coffee grounds, gently tamp level, and set the filter over a glass with 2-3 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk already in it.
- Slowly pour a small amount of hot water over the grounds to bloom for 30 seconds, then fill the filter and let it drip fully, about 4-5 minutes.
- If no phin filter is available, brew a strong batch using a French press or fine drip method with a higher coffee-to-water ratio.
- Stir the hot brewed coffee thoroughly with the condensed milk in the glass until fully combined and no streaks remain.
- Fill a separate glass with ice and pour the sweetened coffee mixture over the ice.
- Stir once more and serve immediately while still cold and strong.
