Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup Frank's RedHot sauce
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon honey
- to taste Celery sticks, for serving
- to taste Carrot sticks, for serving
- 1/2 cup blue cheese or ranch dressing, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250°F. Pat the wings completely dry with paper towels.
- Toss the wings with baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange wings on a wire rack set over a baking sheet and bake at 250°F for 30 minutes to dry out the skin.
- Increase oven temperature to 425°F and bake for another 30-40 minutes, flipping once, until the skin is deeply golden and crispy.
- Meanwhile, whisk together the hot sauce, melted butter, and honey in a large bowl.
- Toss the hot wings in the buffalo sauce mixture until fully coated.
- Serve immediately with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and blue cheese dressing on the side.
